2008 Quilt # 10

Another Tumbler..... I played with colour on EQ5 with this one, to try and create opposites. I sewed the entire top, and when I look at it now, I feel like I have made a large mistake by sewing 2 quarters of it the wrong way around. I guess I am feeling this way because the last few quilts I have made with these tumbler blocks was to colour it from the inside to the outer.... I like it! :) I just can't decide which way I want it to hang??  This one is for Libby Hassinalli.

Nice - gut reaction - the top version for hanging... On closer inspection, I think that the tumblers should be up & down.

I love these tumblers. So vibrant. I want to do one in pinks, emeralds and creams.

I'm so glad you posted on my blog. You're the tumbler person. :) I made a tumbler quilt for my daughter, I'll have to post.

You are so right about the baby quilt. I realized that as I bound this one, thinking I should keep some on hand. I have one more baby one to bind and then I'll have a girl and a boy on in storage.

Blessings and keep in touch.

Make me some socks!!! I gotta learn to knit. I learned the basic stitch, but can't do anything but make a scarf and I don't need that in Florida.

I really like your quilts, the colours are great. I was just wondering how you quilt them. Are they stippled cause cant really tell in photos.

Hi Nicole,
I really like your tumbler-quilts. What a great way to use scraps. I like the vertical orientation best on the last one, but that's just my two cents worth of opinion.

You have created an amazing tumbler series! It would be a great quilt show to see all these quilts hanging together!
